Privacy

Short version: I collect what I need to send you your order and nothing else, I do not sell your information to anybody, and you can ask me to delete it.

What I collect

  • When you order: your name, email, postal address, phone if you give one, and what you bought.
  • When you pay: your card is handled entirely by WooPayments and Stripe. I receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits. I never see your full card number.
  • When you email me: whatever you write and your email address.
  • When you sign up to the newsletter: your email address, and only if you asked for it.
  • Automatically: your browser sets cookies needed for the cart and checkout to function, and my host and security plugin keep short-term server logs including IP addresses to block attacks.

Why I have it

To take payment, get your parcel to the right door, answer you when you write to me, keep the required record of sales, and stop the site being attacked. That is the whole list.

Who else touches it

  • WooPayments and Stripe, to process your payment.
  • The postal carrier, which needs your address to deliver.
  • Suppliers of Recommended gear, who receive your delivery address for those items only, because they ship them direct.
  • Namecheap, my web host, and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site and serves and protects it.
  • My email tool, if you subscribed to the newsletter.

I do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to advertisers.

Where AI comes into it

Some of the writing on this site was drafted with AI help and then read and edited by me before it went up. Where a photograph was made by AI rather than taken, I say so on the page it sits on. If you are buying something, the picture should be the thing you are buying.

Nothing you send me goes into an AI service. Not your order, not your email, not your address. No machine decides anything about you.

The boxes, and what renews

WildPack and WildBox are monthly subscriptions. That means your card is charged again every month until you stop it, and I would rather say that plainly than let you find out.

  • You get a reminder before every charge, at least seven days ahead, telling you what is coming and when.
  • You cancel it yourself, from your account, and it takes effect without you writing to me or explaining why.
  • The price will not change quietly. If it ever goes up you hear about it before the charge, with time to leave instead.

Everything else in the shop is a one-off. Only the two boxes repeat.

How long I keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax rules require. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works. Security logs are short lived.

Your choices

Email to be confirmed and you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it where I am not required to keep it, or unsubscribe from email. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including under Californian law, and I will honour those requests regardless of where you live.

Children

This shop is not intended for children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect their information.
